WHAT IS UNFAIR TO THE CHILDREN?
http://www.sermonaudio.com/new_details.asp?ID=21106
In the above article the science community is calling on churches to support
the theory of evolution for the sake of the children. They say it will, "threaten the scientific literacy of students if something like "intelligent design" is introduced into the classroom.
Let me say here that I appreciate the motives of the ID people; however, I don't agree with all
the process. This being said, let us get back to the issue at hand.
The statement about the scientific literacy of the students shows just how we that are of a biblical creationist worldview, are worlds apart for the evolutionists worldview.
What they consider to be contributing to the scientific literacy of students by teaching them the theory of evolution, we consider the opposite. In fact, I would liken it unto that spoken of in Matt. 18:6; "But whosoever shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for a millstone to hanged about his neck and he were drown in the depth of the sea."
It is very obvious that the Lord Jesus took very seriously the treatment of children. In fact, I would remind us of the command to us parents, fathers in particular, as well as, the church, in regard to biblical instruction, as stated in:
Deu 6:7 "And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up."
We need to make sure that our children have a high degree of biblical literacy.
Well, that's the way it looks from here,
