IS BIG, BAD?

http://www.sermonaudio.com/new_details.asp?ID=21036
In the above article, there is a discussion of the mega-church phenomenon.
Now I have never pastored a mega-church, but I have attended a few.
I, therefore, am speaking mainly from what I have read and heard, and a little experience.

When you are used to small for so long, big seems like a, well, big thing.
However, in my simple way of viewing the biblical account of the early church, it was
a mega-church by today's standard.

Acts 4:32; "And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common."

Acts 5:12; "And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonder wrought among the people; (and they were all with one accord in Solomon's porch."

It is very evident that the early New Testament church was a very effective church.
It was extremely evangelistic, and had a huge impact on its surrounding society and culture.

There is much pro and con that has been said about the modern mega-church movement with which I agree. This being said, I would welcome a return of the First New Testament (Mega) Church model; (excepting those things that were unique for that day, of course).

Well, that's the way it looks from here,
