GRANDSON 16, BEATS GRANDMOTHER FOR REFUSING HIM BEER MONEY

In the above article the police called it a "despicable act", which it certainly was.
The teen mentioned reportedly first put a razor blade to her throat,
before beating her with a 2x4 and then a piece of 3" hard plastic pipe.
And all of us adults say; "its that younger generation". Well, as you can see from
the article this teens mom and dad are both in prison. So I am sure that his
adult parents have not influenced him in the right direction.
Yes, teenagers get a lot of bad press, and rightly so in this case, but let me balance things out a bit.
I just got back from a mission trip with two teenagers.
Thomas Smith, 19 and his brother Samuel Smith, about to be 18.
These two young men were a joy to be with. We flew 2,500 miles together in
our small mission plane. We spent 10 days eating together, working together, playing together, praying together and ministering together, most of which was in another culture.
I observed them dealing with adults, other teenagers and small children.
Tom and Sam are a real tribute to their parents that have brought "...them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord". (Eph. 6:4
But bottom line, Tom and Sam are the fine Christian young men that they are because they have personally chosen to follow the Lord.
Ps. 119:9 "Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed thereto according thy word."
Tom and Sam, thanks for setting a biblical standard.
Well, that's the way it looks from here,
